Document Express with DjVu Desktop Edition includes:

DjVu Editor 4.1 for Windows

The Desktop Edition differs from the Professional Edition of Document Express with DjVu in four ways (and as a result costs $100 less):

Scanning is restricted to single pages (no multipage scanning)
Document opening is restricted to single files (no multipage opening)
The Group file processing feature of the DjVu Virtual Print Driver is disabled
No free year of upgrades and no required annual maintenance plan

The DjVu Editor allows you to view, add and edit the metadata and properties of DjVu files, such as hyperlinks, thumbnails, and opening views. It complements JRAPubish by allowing the cleanup of automatically-generated hyperlinks and page rotations.

DjVu Editor enables direct scanning of single-page documents to DjVu via TWAIN compliant scanners DjVu Editor has an OCR feature for English only, using the Expervision OCR engine.

Document Express with DjVu Desktop Edition also features LizardTech's Virtual Printer Driver (VPD), an application that can be used to create DjVu files from any Windows application like Microsoft Office. It is a print driver that will appear in your list of printers.

There is no limit to or restriction on the number of DjVu pages you create with this edition.

The Desktop Edition is ideal package for those getting started with DjVu, for at-home and occasional business users, and for those wishing to edit DjVu files generated by JRAPublish.
